Description
This is a FileService that corrects, adjusts or resets the Working Hours value in BMW ECUs. The procedure is required when the ECU has been replaced, the engine has been changed or when errors occur in the diagnosis due to invalid operating hours.
The service is compatible with the following BMW ECUs:

Error 2FA4 – cause and solution
The DME 2FA4 error occurs when the internal operating hours are incorrect or do not match the data of other modules in the car. This can affect normal engine operation, adaptations and service procedures.
Typical causes:

ECU replaced with a second one

Engine replaced

Files copied incorrectly

EEPROM with too high or too low hours

Incomplete cloning
By resetting or adjusting Working Hours to the correct value, the 2FA4 error is eliminated.

How to proceed

The EEPROM/Flash file is read from the ECU with the customer's equipment (FLEX, KTAG, Autotuner, KT200, BitBox, EEPROM programmer, etc.).

The file is uploaded to the site at the time of order.

It is specified in the command whether a reset to 0 or a specific value is desired.

We process the file and return it ready for writing without errors.
Delivery time
The file is processed within 15–60 minutes in the VisionGarage workflow.
